Precious creation highlights the Japanese piece which got to the City Museum of of Novi Sad within legacy of Dr. Branko Ilic. Until the early 20th century, the screens were a mandatory part of every bedrooms from wealthier homes, according to the ethics of the former civil environment . This piece is an example of luxury export goods to Europe, and in its preparation carved wood and lacquer, nacre and ivory were used.

Dresser

Description: 
Single dresser comes from the house of Dimitrije Savic, Novi Sad merchant and innkeeper. It is a French work of the seventh decade of the 19th century, in the style of Boulle or so. Napoleon III. Dresser is shackled with bronze applications and inlaid nacre, with the upper plate made of dark marble, which was unusual for this kind of furniture. It was purchased in in Budapest in the late 19th century and probably ship delivered in Novi Sad.

Harmonium, made of wood, belonged to the Novi Sad-based composer, tambouritza player and conductor Marko Nesic. Similar to the organ, the instrument has a space with keyboard and bellows with air. Small size and convenient shape indicate that this is the type of road harmonium that professional musicians could carry with them.

"Neven" society panel

Description: 
One of the most interesting objects in the collection of items related to the musical life of Novi Sad is a jubilee panel of artisan Serbian Singing Society "Neven". Made in 1925, on the occasion of celebrating the patron saint of society, in Novi Sad engraver's shop "Papirplastika". Metal badges with the names of the members of the society hanging on a wooden base and wittily arranged in the shape of a lyre and laurel branches.

The trophy lyra

Description: 
Silver and gold-plated lyra is a gift acknowledgment of King Alexander Karadjordjević to, once excellent, Women's Singing Society from Novi Sad for their achievements in European competitions between the two world wars. The leader of the association, Ms. Milica Moc, otherwise known as the doyen of musical life in Novi Sad, has kept this lira and donated it to the City Museum in commemoration as a kind of homage to the rich musical history of our city.

In a small collection of exposed turntable, a piece of the brand "Zonofon" (Zonophone) stands out with its decorativeness and size, made in Germany around 1900. Pear-shaped trumpet is painted blue inside and decorated with floral bouquets. These turntables became obligatory musical props in Novi Sad pubs and wealthy civil houses in the early 20th century.

Glass flower pots with engraved floral branches, attracts attention with its interesting shape. It is more decorative than practical item, which kind could be seen in a number of salons in 19th century. Set for coffee or tea, a product of the famous Pirkenhammer porcelain manufactories in the Czech Republic, whose products have been highly appreciated and in demand for quality, typical cobalt-blue decor and glittering gilt. Due to the fact that this pottery was not in everyday use, but was exposed in Lounge showcases more served for representation and showing the financial status of the house, it has been preserved to the present time. This kit is also significant for being belonged to the family of the famous Serbian painter Sava Šumanović.
