Deputy Mayor of Novi Sad Vanja Vučenović opend the festival choir singing "Cantat 2013" which will be held from 25 to 31 August in Novi Sad. As in previous years, "Cantat" will bring together a large number of international choral singers, conductors and musicians, and will be held and many international choral workshop. We are proud of the fact that every year the festival is better and more meaningful, and they are primarily responsible organizers who are heavily invested in previous years, "Cantat". That is why the city this year, helping the whole idea and mission of the festival, and certainly we will in the future try to give him support.I hope that the citizens of Novi Sad will always be good hosts and that they will use the next week to visit as many concerts as well as other Festival events to enjoy exceptional musical quality - said Deputy Mayor of Novi Sad Vanja Vučenović after official Festival opening. At the opening ceremony in Novi Sad Synagogue, the participants were welcomed by the President of the European Choral Association "Europa Cantat" Gabor Mocare, a mixed choir performed "ARGENTEUS" University of Szeged as part of cross-border cultural cooperation between Hungary and Serbia. The festival host is Aleksandra Sladjana Milosevic, which will make its solo concert on 29th August 2013. in "Studio M", and the festival will finish on 31 August 2013. on the plateau near Spens when the group perform "Seven Kings The family of the Gipsy Kings" from France with special guest Marija Šerifović.
